GREEN 19

A few of us went here after work on a Friday a few months ago. We had booked for a table of 12 but 20 of us turned up!!! Most restaurants would tell us to split up but they insisted that if we all wanted to be together, they would sort it out if we didn’t mind being squashed or else we could sit at separate tables.

Despite the booking upheaval on our part, they sent us off the Anseo pub for a quick drink while they accommodated us. They were very quick to act and also the same with serving the food and the drinks.

It’s nicely decorated with a modern hip city feel but the top aspect of this place has to be the pricing as nothing on the food menu costs over €12. There is a good selection on the menu including, burgers, salads, burritos and soup. To drink, cocktails are all €9 despite top quality liquors. Try their “Fizzy Flower.” For beers, they have the usuals but also offer Birra Moretti and Polish beer.

For those who are interested, there is a nice sheltered outdoor upstairs area where you can drink your cocktail and look down at the cityscape.  This place is ideal for a meal with friends because of the variety, atmosphere and low pricing before heading off to one of the many pubs, bars and clubs.
